Pro Scooter love affair

Although the sport of scootering seems dangerous, I thank my family for the support that they give me for this activity that I love.  I cannot imagine doing this without my family supporting me all the way.

I had a rough start when I and my friends were just starting with our pro scooter practices.  My mother would always scold me and there were a few times when I was grounded for coming home with bruises and sprains.  But I would always go back to doing scooter-tricks the minute that I was well enough to do it.

My father was the first one to give in.  Sensing that I like kick scooters as much as he likes baseball, he gave me his promise in one of our one-on-one talks that he would try to understand me better.

True enough, he really supported me from that moment on.  He even went out of his way to explain to mom that as long as I’d learn how to put emphasis on safety measures, then I should be given liberty to indulge in my passion.  I should also make sure that I would inform them of my whereabouts so that I would not make them crazy with worry every time I am late coming home.

My daddy was the one who bought me my first kick scooter.  Although, I would like to own one of the more updated and modern versions that I saw online.  For now, I can only afford to buy Grit scooters.

I usually visit the site www.proscooter.com in order to check out what’s new in the pro scootering world.  I noticed that Madd gear pro scooters and Razor pro scooters have come up with some really amazing models for freestyle pro scootering.  I would really love to own pro scooters from these brands in the future.

Of Scooters and Friends

When you look for a (girl)friend, look for someone who will not stop you from doing what you love most.  She must not only enjoy being with you, but she must also support you, thereby making her your pillar of strength in whatever you decide to be.

Sometimes, friends can never fully understand how it is to be passionate about things that you like most.  Because they don’t understand the depth of your liking, they try to sway you away from things that make you truly happy.

Oftentimes, we are bombarded with information that gets us confused. Oftentimes we are barraged by conflicting opinions that make us hover in indecision.  And if we are not that committed to our goals, then one strong wind that will shake our foundation will blow us away.

This has been a perennial situation in my scootering world.  Friends try to sway me from pursuing my love for pro scooters.  I know that deep inside, they mean well.  I know that the seemingly dangerous sport make them nervous whenever I ride on my pro scooter.  And I know that their unsolicited yet well-meaning advices will not end anytime soon.  In fact, I have yet to meet a friend who does not exclaim in horror the first time that they learn of my passion for pro scooters.

So far, I have yet to lose an argument about pro scooters.  My own Grit scooter always gives me inspiration to fight every attempt to sway me from giving it up.

In the future when I am already riding my dream Razor pro scooter, or flying away with my own madd gear pro scooter, I hope that I will make them change their mind.  I hope to change their mind that pro scooter does not equate to danger.

But for now, the support from my own family makes me content.  And that is all that matters.

Being Safe Means Being Responsible

My friends and I love hanging out at the park near our school.  There are only a few of us because we felt that we need to maintain our close friendship.  So we rarely let somebody else enter our tight group.  However, although there are only five of us in the group, we do a lot of practicing at the park or at the gym.  And, everybody in the group is bubbly and friendly so we get to meet a lot of people while we play our pro scooters.

Yesterday has been a fun-filled day, as always.  Edmar showed us another trick which he thought we should master.  So we played at the park the whole afternoon.  When the sky grew dark and it looked like it was about to rain, we continued our practice at Edmar’s place.

There we noticed that there is something wrong with the brakes in his pro scooters.  It can still be used for a few days, but considering the intensity in which he uses his pro scooter these days, it should be replaced as soon as possible.

Safety is always a priority.  That has been the mantra of our group since we started.  We should not wait until the parts fall apart, or for the player to get hurt.  So it would be best to replace the broken parts of our pro scooters as early as possible.  The sport is dangerous as it is, so we should not give our parents a reason to berate us because of irresponsibility.

We checked out www.proscooter.com for any replacement parts.  The site offers pro scooters that are of best quality, like the Madd gear pro scooters, the Razor pro scooters and the Grit scooters.

For his brakes, Edmar chose the MGP Flex brakes, black.  This is also available at the aforementioned website so he just ordered it from the site.  He will just wait for its delivery.

My Pro Scooter Dream

My love for pro scooters started since I was a little kid.  The older brother of my ex-best friend and some other kids used to strut around in the neighborhood with their kiddie-scooters and their silly grins.  They would jump and skid around in the pocket park.  Of course, there were a lot of falling and skinned knees, bruises and black-eyes, but it did not stop them from playing with their scooters almost every day after school.

They were kings, and we were their subjects.  They were superstars and we were their avid fans.  They were our heroes and we did every little errand that they would want us to do, anything as long as they would let us tail them like puppies.

It was a happy childhood.

Too bad we relocated to another place.  I had to start my life all over again, make new friends and go to a new school.

But my dream to have a kick scooter persisted.  My daddy finally bought me one during my eighth birthday.  Since then I was hooked into kick scooters.  I was also able to find friends from my new school with similar hobbies.  We formed a tight group exclusively for kids with scooters.

For some time now, owning a Grit scooters has been in my what-to-have list.  I have been saving my lunch money for it.  I thought that I should try the Grit first, and then if I can earn enough money in the future, I would also love to have the Razor or the Madd gear pro scooters.

The site www.proscooter.com has a list of the latest models that is out in the market.  I have been monitoring reviews from other pro scooter users and they all said that owning either a Razor or a Madd gear is the ultimate.
